Celebrating 4 Years - Nov. Executive Director Message

Hello WI Veterans Chamber Community,

Four years ago, Milwaukee Veterans Week started with an idea to recognize how veterans contribute to our local economy and communities across southeastern Wisconsin. With the support of members, volunteers, and sponsors, we launched the Milwaukee Veterans Week program to promote veteran-owned and veteran-friendly businesses, along with the incredible work of community partners across the region. If you are observing Veterans Day by offering an event or promotion, be sure to submit it to mkeveteransweek.org.

In addition to promoting businesses and community partners, we’re excited to recognize the ways our veterans and their families contribute to southeastern Wisconsin’s economy, our region’s workforce, and our communities. We kick the week off with our Veterans in the Workforce Awards Luncheon on Monday, November 4. The luncheon will be held at RUMBLE Harley - Davidson Museum. Enjoy lunch with coworkers and fellow veterans as we listen to our Guest Speaker, Mr. Bill Davidson, who currently serves as the director of the Harley-Davidson Museum. We will be recognizing leading employers who have invested in veterans and their families by creating inclusive, empowering workplaces.

Veterans Chamber Through The Years

Milwaukee Veterans Week continues on Wednesday with the Milwaukee Veterans Business Breakfast. Enjoy breakfast with business owners, fellow veterans and community leaders as we listen to our Keynote Speaker,

Cheyn Crangle, veteran and CEO of Margle Media. Come learn the "rules of engagement" for building your business by veteran consumers, employees, & business partners.

We will end the week with our 4th Anniversary Veterans Chamber Muster. Join us Thursday, November 7 at the Milwaukee Yacht Club. We are honored to highlight the members of the Milwaukee Yacht Club who sponsored a Milwaukee VA Medical Center series "Veterans Sailing Program" for 10 weeks. To introduce veterans to the art and joy of sailing, members of the Milwaukee Yacht Club volunteered their time, talents and vessels.

I look forward to seeing you there to celebrate 4 years of the Wisconsin Veterans Chamber of Commerce.

New this year- Part of our mission is to give back to the community and at each MKE Vets Week event, we will be collecting cleaning supplies and food items for the Milwaukee Homeless Veterans Initiative. See the list of items here.

Thank you for all you do.
