Join us for a special Armed Forces Week book reading and signing event.

Mark Concannon, local Milwaukee author, has written a book Mettle and Honor: WI Stories from the Battlefield. He interviewed over 60 different WI veterans and put their stories into a comprehensive book. Mark will bring two or three of the interviewees with him to the event, to add a personal touch to the whole storytelling process.

Kirk Landers, a Vietnam veteran from north-Chicagoland, wrote a semi-autobiographical novel, Alone on the Shield. The lead in the novel is also a Vietnam veteran who travels through memories and present day moments assessing his life's choices, all the while wondering where he's going next.

This event is being hosted at the Historic Wadsworth Library on the Zablocki VA Campus.
