The Command Post is Wisconsin’s only co-working program exclusively dedicated to veteran-owned startups. Located at Ward4 in the historic Pritzlaff building, the Command Post offers veteran entrepreneurs the resources, education, and support they need to successfully start their businesses.


We support military veterans entrepreneurs as they launch and scale businesses


Entrepreneurs receive on site support from business leaders and mentors, ongoing coaching and educational programming, and up to one year of membership at Ward4’s co-working space.


The Command Post offers state of the art amenities, entrepreneurship resources, and a network of veterans and business owners.

Who are Command Post entrepreneurs?

Applicants must be military veterans or currently serving members of the military. Participants should be committed to fully engaging in the program, with the goal of growing their business and developing their skills.

What is the Command Post application and selection process?

The Command Post is open to up to ten veteran entrepreneurs at one time. Applicants must submit a business plan and are expected to attend and complete all coaching and workshop sessions. Applications are do not close, but there may be a wait list if all program openings are filled.

What are the expectations of Command Post entrepreneurs?

Command Post entrepreneurs are expected to utilize the co-working space, as well as attend participate all coaching and educational workshops.

What do Command Post entrepreneurs receive?

Accepted entrepreneurs receive membership at Ward 4 for up to one year, business coaching services, and leadership coaching services at no cost for up to one year.

Is there a cost for this program?

No. Once accepted into the program, there is no cost to the veteran entrepreneur for their Ward 4 membership or coaching services for up to one year.
