Learn how to recruit veteran applicants, and connect with organizations and resources to help you attract and retain veteran employees to your organization.

Betsy Wells is the Lead Recruiter for Brooksource’s Milwaukee office. Brooksource is an IT consulting and staffing company with 23 offices nationwide which develops workforce solutions for Fortune 500 clients. Betsy launched Project Patriot, a company-wide veteran hiring initiative in October 2017 and leads Veteran hiring efforts for Brooksource, both locally and nationally. Betsy will walk through how, as a talent acquisition specialist, to build your Veteran pipeline. She will discuss working with local military bases, support organizations, and education programs to successfully source Veteran talent. She will also discuss tips and advice for interviewing and preparing Veteran candidates for their transition to the civilian workforce as well as what we can do, as Human Resources specialists, to best support Veterans once hired.

In addition, she has consulted with C-Suite and Senior HR Leaders to identify challenges and trends for professional staff recruitment, partnered with candidates to coach and educate them to achieve success in their career search, and built, trained, and mentored a professional recruiting team to serve organizations in full-cycle recruitment.
