"Invest In Vets" (IIV) is a comprehensive consulting program offered exclusively to WVCC Premier Level Members and Sustained Support Investors. This innovative initiative is tailored to enhance services for veterans, current service members, and their families, aligning their employment with corporate strategies and objectives. Through IIV, WVCC leverages its extensive network to provide sector-specific insights and open new opportunities, ensuring a holistic support system for businesses, veterans, service members, and their families.
RECRUIT
- Objective: Attract veteran talent by highlighting the alignment of their skills with organizational needs.
- Optimized Job Postings: IIV will guide you in optimizing your job postings to appeal specifically to veterans, ensuring that the language and structure highlight how military skills translate to civilian job roles.
- University and Technical College Engagement: Develop outreach programs with local universities and technical colleges that have veteran services offices to tap into a pool of skilled veterans transitioning into civilian careers.
- Targeted Recruitment Campaigns: Implement targeted recruitment campaigns that emphasize your company’s commitment to veteran employment and the unique opportunities available to veteran candidates.
DEVELOP
Objective: Foster professional growth and integration of veteran employees.
- Tailored Training Programs: Develop specialized training modules that leverage veterans' unique skills and fill gaps specific to their roles within the company.

RETAIN
- Veteran Employee Resource Groups (ERGs): Create ERGs to foster a supportive community for veterans.
- Formation and Structure: Assist in forming ERGs within the organization, providing guidance on structure, leadership roles, and activities.
- Ongoing Support: Offer continuous support and resources to sustain and grow the ERG, ensuring it meets the evolving needs of veteran employees.
- Networking and Peer Support: Facilitate networking opportunities and peer support systems within the ERG to build camaraderie and a sense of belonging among veteran employees.
- Professional Development: Organize professional development workshops and training sessions tailored to veteran employees' unique experiences and skill sets.
- Recognition Programs: Develop and implement recognition programs to acknowledge the contributions and achievements of veteran employees within the ERG.
- Feedback Mechanisms: Establish feedback mechanisms within the ERG to continuously improve the group's effectiveness and address any concerns or challenges faced by veteran employees.
- Leadership Opportunities: Create pathways for veteran employees to take on leadership roles within the ERG, fostering their growth and development within the organization.
IIV FOR PREMIER MEMBERSHIPS
Bronze Level IIV Service ($2,500/year)
- Annual Employer Symposium: Participate in an exclusive event designed to provide HR assessments, establish organizational benchmarks, and identify areas for maintenance, enhancement, or elimination.
- Networking Opportunities: Engage with other business leaders and veteran employment experts to share best practices and develop new strategies for veteran recruitment, development, and retention.
- Follow-up Consultation: Benefit from post-symposium consultation to help implement the strategies discussed, ensuring continuous improvement and success in your veteran employment initiatives.

Silver Level IIV Service ($5,000/year)
